Baking Competition

HAMPSTEAD — Have you been told that you have the best apple pie? Or the best cookies, bread, or cupcakes?

If so, bring your prized creations to the St. Anne Summerfest on Sat., July 27, between 10:00-11:45 a.m. and enter them into the second annual Baking Competition!

There are four categories, and you may enter as many times as you like, in as many categories as you like: apple pie, cookies, yeast bread, and cupcakes. (Yeast bread should be baked as a loaf; please pre-slice for us.) First, second, and third place ribbons will be awarded in each category.

There will be a charge of $5.00 per entry, and you may pay that day (Sat, July 27) when dropping off your entries.

Judging will begin at 12:00 p.m., and the judges will include beloved staff members and parishioners ... and possibly you! New this year, spectators will be able to buy a chance ($1.00 per chance) to judge a category.

You must be present when your name is drawn, so please come to the baking competition to enter and perhaps test some yummy food!

For more information about the baking competition, please contact Nancy Steenson at 603-382-9522.

Bring the whole family along, because it’s just one part of an action-packed day at the 32nd annual St. Anne Summerfest on the town green next to St. Anne’s Church. (Meetinghouse Park, behind the Town Hall)

The family festival and craft fair is open from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and will also feature games for all ages, the Lakes Race and Fun Walk, crafts, beautiful gift baskets, live entertainment, bounce tents, face painting, a car show, grill fare and refreshments, a silent auction, and cash and gift raffles.

This is a very popular event, with over 2000 visitors!

You can find directions and more information online at www.saintannechurchnh.org (click on “Summerfest” at the top).
