---- — RAYMOND — The first winter Raymond Farmers Market of the season is Sat., December 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Lamprey River Elementary School on Old Manchester Road, off exit 4 Route 101, same place as last year.

You can pick up fresh eggs, goats milk and cheese, a variety of meat products including beef, pork, chicken, turkey, duck, lamb, rabbit, sausages, bacon, local honey and maple syrup, bees wax candles, homemade jams, pickles, relishes, salsa’s, granola, gourmet popcorn, fresh baked breads, assorted cookies, whoopie pies, rolls and cakes, locally grown beets, turnips, radishes, mulberry, beans, onions, carrots, squash, potatoes, Boxwood trees and fresh flower arrangements and natural skin care products.

A new addition to the market this year is the wide variety of crafters selling their homemade wares including therapeutic scented wraps, knitted hats, scarves, mittens and sweater sets, fleece hats, fabric jewelry, beaded jewelry, quilts, little girl purses, table toppers, table center pieces, wool products, doll clothes, children’s aprons, toys, kitchen towels and hand crafted necklaces,ear rings and bracelets.

Music will be provided by Sarah Jane Nelson on the fiddle and flute along with Bob Phillips on banjo.

They’ve been playing music together for several years and Bob has won several first place ribbons at the Lowell Banjo and Fiddle Contest.

Raymond Farmers Market will be held on the third Saturday of the month: December 15, January 19, February 16 and March 16.
