Vets Supports Wreaths of Remembrance Programs

Carriage Towne News

---- — KINGSTON - In 2008, the United States Congress decreed the second Saturday of December as Wreaths Across America Day.

The mission of the program is titled, “Remember, Honor and Teach”, and it is executed in part by the laying of wreaths on Veteran’s graves and local town monuments during the holiday season.

The Kingston Veteran’s Club unanimously voted to support the Wreaths of Remembrance programs hosted by the town of East Kingston this year.

Veterans are being honored at Arlington National Cemetery in the same way and at the same time that we honor our veterans here at the East Kingston Veterans Memorial Monument.

The ceremony commences at 12 noon, Sat., December 15, at the East Kingston Fire Station.
