PLAISTOW - What more wonderful way to commence the season’s festivities than to join with family and friends for an afternoon of music and merriment? The Timberlane Community Band invites one and all to their annual Holiday Concert, Sun., December 2, at the Timberlane Performing Arts Center, Greenough Road, Plaistow. Tuba Christmas will commence the musical program at 2:00 p.m., with the Community Band’s performance at 3:00 p.m.
Whether your tastes run to traditional carols and medleys or more modern renditions, there will be something for everyone, and the selections made by Directors Tony DiBartolomeo and John Mainella will not disappoint.
It is rumored that Santa, accompanied by elves, might just make an appearance, lending his deep, baritone Ho Ho Ho’s to the melodic line, enchanting both the young and young at heart, with some small gifts for the children as well!
In addition, with a promise NOT to “steal Christmas,” the Grinch responded to the band’s invitation, and he, too, will be joining us.
