Holiday Greens Sale

ATKINSON - The time to consider our holiday gift giving and decorating needs is upon us. And to this end, the Atkinson Garden Club extends a warm and hearty invitation to our 2012 Annual Greens Sale, to be held Fri., November 30 and Sat., December 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Once again, the Atkinson Community Center, 4 Main Street, will be merrily transformed by club members into a fragrant and festive greens market, where all manner of homemade offerings abound.

Pre-orders are strongly suggested for wreathes of all sizes, balsam, pine or laurel roping by the yard, and boughs of boxwood, holly or fir by the pound. And whether you are home for the upcoming festivities or traveling to visit loved ones, what holiday table would not be enhanced by a centerpiece of fresh greens, decorative accents and candles to compliment your decor? Cheerful mugs brimming with fresh arrangements are the perfect hostess gift or accent for a small space.

Red, burgundy and eggshell are the hues of our hand tied bows, available as a single purchase or as an accompaniment to our swags, wreathes and patio greens. Their Kissing Balls and tabletop Holly Trees have become two of their best sellers, and should be pre-ordered as well, to ensure the color selections of ribbons and bows and quantities of your choice.

Mrs. Claus’ Closet always offers a host of small items perfect for gifts or decoration – some new and some gently used. In addition, each year club members outdo themselves preparing a lavish, themed gift basket, bestowed on the winner of our holiday raffle!

Orders should be placed post haste, by completing and depositing forms found at the Kimball Library or Atkinson Community Center, mailed in to the AGC, PO Box 571, Atkinson, or phoned in to Catherine Persson at 603.362.6013.
