EXETER — An eight-week Colored Pencil Art Class will be offered for eight weeks on Thursdays, beginning March 28, from 10:30-12:15 p.m., at Seacoast Artists Association in Exeter.
Come explore various techniques in colored pencil including: shading and highlights to create volume, building layers of color, burnishing for deep rich color. You will work from photos of famous artists’ works and your own photos of your favorite subjects, to enhance your own personal technique and style.
What to bring: A quality set of colored pencils such as Prismacolors. Also bring a battery operated pencil sharpener, a kneaded eraser and a hard white eraser, a 2B pencil, a colorless blender pencil or marker. Also bring quality drawing papers in different colors of your choice (made for colored pencil), and a drawing pad for practice.
The cost of the eight-week class is $125.00. Ten-percent of the tuition is donated to the Seacoast Artist Association Scholarship Fund.
