'The Dirt' on Recycling

Carriage Towne News

---- — MANCHESTER — For over thirty years, the Northeast Resource Recovery Association has brought cutting-edge recycling and resource recovery issues to the forefront. The conference provides two days of interactive, educational workshops on all aspects of the recycling and solid waste industry, with a special emphasis this year on composting, anaerobic digestion and all things related to “dirt”, to over 500 attendees. The Expo area will host over sixty vendors who provide recycling and solid waste equipment, services, and expertise.

This year’s Conference & Expo will be held June 3 and 4 at the Radisson Hotel Manchester/Center of New Hampshire, 700 Elm Street, Manchester. The Expo features nationally recognized speaker, Nora Goldstein of BioCycle Magazine as the keynote at Monday morning’s opening address. Nora Goldstein is Editor of BioCycle: Composting, Renewable Energy, Sustainability, published by The JG Press, Inc. in Emmaus, PA (

The NRRA conference also provides an invaluable networking opportunity for those interested in recycling and waste reduction to come together to discover new technologies, exchange ideas, share philosophies, and further promote waste reduction efforts. This year they will again offer workshops where waste stream managers and other recycling officials can come together to discuss common problems, challenges and solutions. NRRA is also proud to present a “Conference within a Conference” with the Fourth Annual Northeast School Recycling Conference, June 4. NRRA is pleased to bring thirty years of expertise to the students, teachers, and school administrators involved in recycling in their communities. In the rural Northeast, schools are often the single largest generators of waste in communities, and yet they often work independently from local town waste managers. The School Recycling Conference endeavors to bridge that gap with connections between all stakeholders.

The cost for the one day event is only $60.00 per Teacher or Administrator and only $40.00 per student, which includes registration, workshops, lunch and awards ceremony.

Don’t miss out on your chance to be part of this invaluable conference. Sponsors and exhibitors are encouraged to register early before the Exhibit Hall completely fills, and speakers should submit their abstracts ASAP to insure consideration.
