Writing Workshop

KITTERY, ME - Please join poet and memoirist, Elizabeth Kirschner, for a second session of a seven week long continuation of a writing workshop titled, “Mining Memory for Myth and Magic in Memoir”. Appropriate for both beginning and experienced writers, the workshop will resume on Mon., April 1, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the Kittery Art Association, 8 Coleman Avenue, Kittery Point, ME.

This workshop helps participants locate their personal stories and looks at the many forms memoir can take and what memoir can hold. It operates on the assumption that we all have stories worth telling and that by preserving them, we are creating legacies for ourselves, families and audiences beyond them. Not only are our stories worth writing, each of them has both a mythological and magical dimension. Week by week, we share our writing, give suggestions and celebrate the process.

The cost for all seven sessions is $100.00 for Kittery Art Association members, $115.00 for non-members. The workshop dates are: April11, 8, 22, and 29, May 6, 13, and 20. Please register by telephone at the Kittery Art Association: (207) 451-9384. Membership is encouraged.

Elizabeth Kirschner has been a writer and educator for over thirty-five years. She has published five collections of poems. She currently lives and writes in Kittery Point, Maine and offers both mentoring and tutoring services. For more information, please go to: www.writewithkirschner.com.
