Tree Lighting

NEWTON - On Sun., December 8, the Newton Historical Society will hold its annual Christmas tree lighting event at the Society’s Headquarters / Museum, located at 22 South Main St. (Rte. 108)

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the children placing their decorations on the tree and visiting with Santa and his favorite Elf Tina. The tree lighting will take place at 6:00 p.m. Hot chocolate and cookies will be available for the children.

Children can drop in at the Gale Library at 16 S. Main St., on Mon., December 2, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., to participate in making environmentally friendly decorations and ornaments for placement on the tree on the 8th.

Get into the Christmas spirit with music, treats and friends and neighbors.
