Fall Festival
NEWTON – The Carriage Barn Equestrian Center invites you to its 4th annual Fall Festival to be held on Sat., September 13, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at 6 Sarah’s Way, Newton. Admission is $5.00 per person; children under age 3 are admitted free. Come and meet costumed characters from the Middle Ages, ride on carriages through the woods, and see the horses perform great feats.
Vendors, food, and market goods abound. Silent auctions and spectacular raffles await you. Items up for raffle or auction include a getaway at the Inn at Mill Falls, a $300 gas card, a week’s stay in a condominium in Florida, gift cards to various restaurants and lodging throughout New Hampshire as well as items donated by local businesses and our vendors.
The Carriage Barn is located at 6 Sarah’s Way in Newton. This equestrian facility includes wooded trails, indoor and outdoor arenas and 12 different breeds of horses. You will see miniature horses, as well as Belgium and Dutch Warmbloods.
Combining family fun in a beautiful country setting just 30 minutes from Salem, Manchester and Portsmouth, the event hosts the finest carriage horses in intricate tests of skill and precision. The fairgrounds cover 30 acres, two demonstration arenas, kids corner with games, face painting and crafts. The variety of vendors will offer jewelry, art, antiques, collectibles, equine and canine gifts.
The afternoon activities include Irish Step dancers, bands, grandma’s dog show, pets welcome on lease and knights in shining armor.
Proceeds from this event will benefit The Carriage Barn’s Therapeutic Riding & Driving Programs, a 501(c)3 Not-for-Profit organization. that seeks to enhance physical, psychological, cognitive and emotional healing and strengthening through equine activities.

Rockingham Craftsmen Disband
The Rockingham Craftsmen, a non-profit organization, founded in 1966, has recently disbanded after forty-three years.

Volunteers Needed for Relay Race
KINGSTON- The Bakie PTA will once again support the Reach the Beach Relay Race. The race starts in Bretton Woods and ends at the Hampton Beach State Park. The D.J. Bakie Elementary School will be a transition station for a third year. This station will provide food, drinks and rest for the relay teams.

EPPING — The 10th annual Highnote Festival, a non-profit benefit for the Adam McPhee Memorial Foundation, will be held on Sat., September 11, from 2:00 p.m. until dark, at 173 Prescott Road in Epping.
