Golfers Needed
RAYMOND – Openings for golfers are still available in the Raymond High School (RHS) Alumni Association golf outing to be held on Tues., June 24, at Candia Woods at 8:00 a.m. Call your friends and make a four-some. Individuals are also invited to sign up and will be placed on a team. Please call Shirley Dodge at 895-3342 to register.
The $110.00 entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, range balls, golf cart, full course meal served in the club’s Evergreen Pavilion, and prizes. Other prizes will be awarded for nearest to the pin, longest drives, straightest drive, and winner of the putting contest.
Area business, fraternal, and professional groups sponsoring holes for the tournament include to date: American Legion Hurd-Welch Post #90, Averell Landscape & Design, LLC, Citizens Bank, D. F. Richard, Jewett Construction, Kountry Hair Design, Lamprey Dental Associates, McDonald’s, Ocean National Bank, Pines Restaurant, Poole’s Oil Burner Service, Prince Limousine, Radio Grove Hardware, Raymond Animal Hospital, Raymond Chiropractic Clinic, Raymond Foreign Auto, Inc., Stewart Ltd Insurance Management, Sovereign Bank, Dr. Michael Stevener, Strikers East, Tucker Masonic Lodge #99, VFW Maple-Wheadon Post #4479, Witham Countryside Homes, Memorial to Class of 1970 Deceased Members, and Class of 1963 Alumnus.
Prizes or gift certificates for the raffle have been donated to date from Ben Franklin, Dress Barn, Euro Cleaners, Fremont Pizzeria, Gregg’s Lawn & Garden Center, Hannaford, Paige’s Equipment, Pasquale’s Ristorante, Salon 27, Strikers East, Supreme House of Pizza, Sweatshirts, etc., Ultimate Bouquet, and Village Kindergarten. Morning coffee and doughnuts will be served to outing participants, compliments of Dunkin’ Donuts of Raymond.
Walmart Distribution Center is on board for the sixth consecutive year and this year as the outing’s Gold Sponsor. The Association welcomes the participation again this year of I. C. Reed & Sons, Inc. and JCR Construction as Silver Donors.
Many individuals, families of RHS alumni, and RHS classes are sponsors this year, and will be acknowledged in the 2008 golf outing program.

Rockingham Craftsmen Disband
The Rockingham Craftsmen, a non-profit organization, founded in 1966, has recently disbanded after forty-three years.

They donated the remaining funds in their treasury to the NH Food Bank. This gift of $3,200 was presented to Lisa Merrill-Burzak by Rockingham Craftsmen members Steve Brogan and Reid Bunker. -

A fundraiser for young Cole Stoddard, 4, of Sandown, will be held on Thurs., September 9, from 7:00-11:00 p.m., at the Atkinson Resort and Country Club.

A Quilting Couple

Volunteers Needed for Relay Race
KINGSTON- The Bakie PTA will once again support the Reach the Beach Relay Race. The race starts in Bretton Woods and ends at the Hampton Beach State Park. The D.J. Bakie Elementary School will be a transition station for a third year. This station will provide food, drinks and rest for the relay teams.

EPPING — The 10th annual Highnote Festival, a non-profit benefit for the Adam McPhee Memorial Foundation, will be held on Sat., September 11, from 2:00 p.m. until dark, at 173 Prescott Road in Epping. Music and events will be held rain or shine. Enjoy fireworks, Skydive New England (demo jump) and hot air balloon rides, weather permitting.
