KINGSTON —As most residents are aware, the Grace Daley House, which has housed the Kingston Community House office and Thrift Shop since the late 1970’s, became another victim of the economy and was not approved by voters for repair. The KCH Board has been working tirelessly to ensure that the Thrift Shop would not become a casualty of that decision. Due to the generosity of Nick Kakouris of Fremont Pizzeria, they have found an affordable new home and will be moving to the space formerly occupied by Three Sisters Antiques at Church Street Station, 34 Church Street in Kingston, the home of the Kingston location of Fremont Pizzeria.
They will be expanding their hours and services and hope to be able to support many more local families. The current location (next to the Town Hall) will remain open for the remainder of July. Hours are Mon., Wed. and Sat., from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. They are still accepting donations of seasonal items at that location, but will close for the month of August while they relocate to the new space. If in the meantime you have out-of-season clothing or household items you wish to donate, please call Judy Oljey at 603-642-5274. She will be available to meet you at the new location for drop-off. The Kingston Community House is a non-profit 501(c) charitable organization and donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Just ask for a receipt when you donate.
Don’t miss the Grand Re-Opening on Sat., September 7. And remember, if at any time you are in need of specific clothing or medical equipment, please contact Judy at 642-5274 to check availability.
