EXETER — If you used to draw or always wanted to learn to draw this is the class for you! Learn to break down objects into their basic elements so you can truly see how an artist sees. Learn about edges, shape, positive and negative space and try blind contour drawing. You will also learn to draw with a paintbrush and powered graphite. Learn how to use shading to create volume, and perspective so your drawings will have depth. Learn proper dimensions of the human face and work on a self portrait. Make drawing practice an enjoyable part of every day and you will become comfortable calling yourself an artist!
What to bring: Black fine tip markers, two or three inexpensive colored markers (any color). Drawing pencils. Drawing papers. Minimum class size is three. Class size limited to ten.
Class starts: Sat., April 13, at the Old Town Hall in Exeter Square and runs eight weeks, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Cost is $130.00. Ten-percent of your tuition is donated to the Seacoast Artist Association Scholarship Fund.
