FREMONT — The International Dyslexia Association, in conjunction with the Fremont Parent Support Network, is pleased to offer a free Dyslexia Workshop. “Experience Dyslexia: A Learning Disabilities Simulation” will be presented on Wed., April 10, from 6:00-7:30 p.m., at Fremont Library, 7 Jackie Bernier Drive. Parents, Families, Community Members and School Staff are welcome.
What is it like to have dyslexia? How would it affect your daily life? With Experience Dyslexia®, a hands-on workshop, you can experience some of the challenges and frustrations faced by people with dyslexia. Formerly known as “Put Yourself in the Shoes of a Person with Dyslexia,” the simulation provides a lively, thought-provoking activity for teachers, parents, or anyone interested in better understanding the lives of individuals with this language-based learning disability.
Staff development certificates and light refreshments will be provided!
Pre-registration is requested. To register or for more information, please contact Shannon Bryant at Fremont.firstname.lastname@example.org or Tammy Kitt at Tamray@aol.com. If you require special accommodations, please specify when registering.
