SEACOAST — Children’s Mental Health network (CMHN) will host its Second Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Sat., June 22, at the Candia Woods Golf Links in Candia.
The event, which last year raised $10,000 to provide financial assistance to families with children with mental illness and/or serious emotional disorders, begins at 6:45 a.m., with sign in, raffle choices, and a continental breakfast followed by a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m.
Tickets are $130.00 per player, and include greens fees with cart, practice range, breakfast, a buffet luncheon, raffle, and various prizes. According to CMHN Founder Bev Barney, net proceeds from the event will be used to offset expenses families’ insurance will not cover.
Recently formed in 2011, Barney said she started the golf tournament to not just raise funds, but help raise awareness about the need to help “fill in critical gaps.”
