Community Nights

KINGSTON —Southern District YMCA, as a non-profit charity, relies on community support to offer healthy programming to all who need, regardless of their ability to pay. Generous donations from individuals, businesses, and civic organizations help those in need access YMCA services. In an effort to say Thank You, the YMCA staff welcomes you to three Community Nights at Camp Lincoln, Tues., June 18, Tues., July 23, and Tues., August 20, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. No reservations are required. The entire family is welcome for dinner and camp entertainment.

All donations to the Strong Kids Campaign are given back to local families as financial assistance for YMCA programs. These funds are life changing for families in need. At the Hampton YMCA Afterschool Program, a single dad who works full-time to provide for himself and his daughter is grateful for the stable, productive environment provided by the program. Since attending the Y Afterschool, his daughter’s grades have improved, her homework is done, and her teachers report a happier, more engaged student. At the Southern District YMCA, we say ‘thank you’ to all who have given so generously for the kids.

Community Night is open to everyone: those who have donated, those who want to know more about the YMCA, and those who simply appreciate the outdoors. On the shores of Kingston Lake, YMCA staff will host a grilled dinner while you enjoy the lakeside amenities of camp. A bonfire with s’mores and staff entertainment in the amphitheater will close the evening.

Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to enjoy someone else cooking dinner while you paddle around the lake, take a swim, or conquer a rock wall. YMCA Camp Lincoln has appreciated 86 years at 67 Ball Road in Kingston. The community support through the years has led to the success of today’s youth programming.

YMCA Camp Lincoln is located at 67 Ball Road, Kingston. The first of three Community Nights at Camp Lincoln will be Thurs., June 20, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
