ACC Worship Service

ATKINSON — Rev. Paul H. Dionne, pastor of the Atkinson Congregational Church, UCC invites the community to their weekly worship service at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays. The summer worship hour of 9:00 a.m. will begin on June 23.

Children attend church with their families; following the children’s message pre-schoolers through the fifth grade attend church school at the Tuthill House. Nursery care is provided during worship and a time of fellowship follows in Lovejoy Hall after church.

“Lift Off! and soar to new heights with God” is the theme of Vacation Bible Camp for children four through 12 years of age. The camp will be held the week of July 15-19, 8:45 a.m. to noon, at the church. The hot air balloon theme will focus on Bible stories, music, crafts, science experiments and games. The cost is $20.00 per child or $30.00 per family. Children from the community are invited; scholarships are available.

The church, 101 Main Street/Rt. 121, has parking behind the church on Meditation Lane. An accessible entrance is located through the entry off the parking lot.

The church office is open Mon., Tues., and Thurs., 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Pastor Paul is in his office on Fridays, from 8:30-11:00 a.m. and he is available by appointment at other times.     Sandown, NH — Jo Ann (Phelps) Hughes of Sandown, New Hampshire passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014, surrounded by all of her children at home. She was born in Little Bend Kentucky, to Beatrice (Shepherd) Phelps and John (Cat) Phelps in 1934. Jo Ann was predeceased by brothers, Marcus Phelps, Johnny Phelps, Forrest Phelps and sisters, Juanita Phelps, and Jeanette (Phelps) Vincent. She is survived by brother, Donald Quiggins of Georgia; sisters, Geneva (Phelps) Stanley of Kentucky, and Frances (Phelps) Bratcher of Tennessee who had just visited Jo Ann in September of 2013.
