---- — EXETER — If you’re looking for a creative way to spend your evening and expand your menus for home cooked meals sign up now for one of Exeter Adult Education cooking courses:
Italian Cooking: Learn culinary skills and family recipes to share on the following Thursday nights, from 6:00-8:30 p.m. Pasta Making, four weeks, beginning October 3, $80.00; Italian Sauces, three weeks, beginning October 31, $65.00; and Italian Desserts and Cookies, three weeks, beginning November 21, $65.00.
Specialty Desserts: Great tasting, impressive desserts are not as difficult as you think! Learn tips and tricks for making wonderful cheesecake, flour-less chocolate torte and pate a choux (cream puff dough) for show-off treats and desserts to wow your family and friends! This classes is offered Monday, one night, November 18, from 6:30-9:00 p.m., $40.00.
Tea Tasting and Sampling: This class examines the types of teas (green, black, white, flavored, and herbal) , how they are brewed along with a bit of history and interesting uses. The course takes place on Mondays, two weeks, beginning, October 21, 6:30-8:30 p.m., $30.00.
Traditional Greek Cooking: Learn to make classic dishes including spinach pie, feta cheese pie, pastitsio, moussaka, stuffed peppers, cookies, cakes and baklava on Mondays, three weeks, beginning October 7, 6:00-8:30 p.m., $65.00.
Holiday Appetizers and Entertaining: Learn to make real crowd pleasing and impressive party appetizers and gain entertaining tips for easier and less-stressful parties so you can enjoy yourself too!
You won’t want to miss this one night class on Monday, November 4, 6:30-9:00 p.m., $40.00.
Greek Cookies: Learn to make some traditional Greek cookies and desserts in this one night class, including baklava, honey cookies, Kourabiedes (Russian wedding cookies), orange New Year’s cake, sesame and almond cookies. This class will be offered on one night – Tues., December 3, from 6:30-9:00 p.m. The cost is $40.00.
