EXETER - An AARP Driver Safety class for drivers 50 years of age and older will be presented from 9:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., on Sat., April 6, at the RiverWoods Retirement Community, 5 Timber Lane, Exeter.
The registration fee is $12.00 per person for AARP members, and $14.00 for all others. To register, phone John Hammon, volunteer instructor, at (603) 772-4342. Advance registration by April 1 is requested. Class size is limited and registrations are accepted first-come, first-served.
AARP Driver Safety is the nation’s first and largest classroom refresher course designed for mature and experienced drivers. Class participants learn about defensive driving techniques, new traffic laws, rules of the road and much more. The class tells older drivers how to adjust their driving to age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time. Many insurance companies give discounts to drivers who take the course.
