Garden Club Open House

SANDOWN - The Blizzard has come and gone, but the Sandown Garden Club Gardening Open House is still on. It’s never too early to think Spring and to think Gardening. Winter doldrums and cabin fever leave us all yearning for the outside and all the wonders of a blooming garden.

The Sandown Garden Club will hold a “Think Gardening Open House” on Sat., March 2, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., at the Sandown Recreation Center on Pheasant Run Drive. This will be an informal event wherein members and non-members can meet and greet each other. Come with your questions about gardening and Club membership. Learn more about the Club’s diverse programs and activities for the year ahead by picking up a calendar of scheduled events.

The refreshment committee will offer coffee, tea, hot chocolate and lots of scrumptious goodies to sample as you chat with Club members. There will be lots of free literature and handouts on a variety of subjects such as seed starting, raised beds, herb containers, native plants, invasive species, alternative plantings, cutting gardens and more.

For information on the Open House, call Audrey at 603-887-3743 and for membership call Kathy at 603-382-3703. The Sandown Garden Club is a non-profit organization and a member of both the New Hampshire Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. and National Garden Clubs, Inc.
