EXETER — Join Southeast Land Trust volunteers and board members on Sat., February 23 to visit the Tucker and French Family Forest in Kingston. These abutting properties encompass more than 400 acres along the Little River in Kingston and Danville and were expanded by the addition of 29 acres this past December! You’ll see the results of some recent wildlife habitat management work along the edge of a large, scenic beaver pond, visit an old mill site and identify tracks. The Land Trust’s Land Manager Phil Auger and Emma Carcagno, a board member and wildlife biologist with UNH Cooperative Extension, will be leading the trip.
The field trip will begin at 9:00 a.m., and will involve walking more than a mile on (hopefully) snow covered trails in varying conditions. The trip is free but you must sign up in advance. Contact the Southeast Land Trust office for details at 778-6088 or email info@seltnh.org.
