ATKINSON – The Atkinson Congregational Church, UCC, will hold its fifth annual auction to benefit the church’s general fund on the afternoon of Sun., March 17. Last year, the theme was “Movies”; this year’s theme is “Jukebox Jamboree.”
Lots of great items, services, and entertainment will be on the block, each one bearing a song title, such as: “Tee for Two,” a round of golf for two people at the Atkinson Country Club; “Take Me Out to the Ballgame,” four box seats to a New Hampshire Fisher Cats game; “Helping Hands,” for a one-hour massage at Hampstead Massage and Wellness; “Black Coffee in Bed,” a basket of gourmet coffee and cookies, etc.
An original painting and a quilt will be raffled and the auction will be livened up by games, prizes and “flash rounds” – 20-second bidding wars. Coffee, juice, and finger food will be served.
Admission is free. Doors open at 1:00 p.m., for previewing and silent auction. The live auction runs from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
