Town Wide Yard Sale

PLAISTOW — Save the date! Plaistow Parks and Recreation will host our Town Wide Yard Sale on Sat., April 20, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. rain or shine. Take advantage of this event to clean out your attic, basement, garage or barn, make a little cash for your pocket, and help support Plaistow Recreation all at the same time. Proceeds from the registration fee will help enhance Recreational programming.

Don’t delay! Registration will take place beginning Wed., March 6, with a firm deadline of Tues., April 3. All registration will be by mail or by drop-off in the Selectmen’s Office at the Town Hall. No phone registrations will be accepted. A registration fee of $20.00 payable to the Town of Plaistow must accompany your registration form. Registration includes: Press releases through Eagle Tribune and Carriage Towne News; Plaistow Cable TV-17; signage around town, and two easy to read signs. Participants will be listed (by address only) in the Town Wide Yard Sale map. Registration forms will be available beginning March 6 on the town website at www.plaistow.com, and at Town Hall during regular business hours. Plaistow based community non-profit groups are encouraged to participate with no registration fee due. Groups must register to be included in the directory. Please watch for and patronize local businesses who may be offering special discounts and offers during the Town Wide Yard Sale.

  • Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown, 66

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
