DEERFIELD – Bear-Paw Regional Greenways would like you to join them for their first annual Growing the Greenways fundraiser on Sat., November 10, at the Bow Lake Grange Hall in Strafford.
Be one of the lucky 100 to enjoy an evening of food and wine and bid on one or more of the silent and live auction items. Proceeds will help Bear-Paw continue to Grow the Greenways by conserving local lands and waters. The event, from 7 to 10 pm, will feature hearty hors d’oeuvres by Randy Brisson of Dining by Design accompanied by complimentary wine, beer, and soft drinks. A professional auctioneer will keep us entertained with a variety of auction games and surprises.
Local businesses, members, and friends of Bear-Paw have donated many wonderful items for the fundraiser. These include several vacation opportunities: a weekend stay in Sonoma County, California, a week near the beach in Biddeford, Maine, or a weeklong stay on Bow Lake. There are also two roundtrip Southwest airline tickets, a private cruise to the Isles of Shoals, and other wonderful diversions. With your winning bid, you could also go home with a 22 horsepower John Deer tractor, a greenhouse kit, or six cords of firewood. If you like great food you can bid on a four course dinner prepared in your home by Randy Brisson or a blueberry pancake breakfast for up to 12. There will be a handmade canoe paddle, a Native American style bow and many more items.
