Control of Invasive Plants

KINGSTON – Tom O’Brien, President of NH Lakes Association will be the guest speaker on Wed., October 17, at 7:00 p.m., at the Kingston High School Library, Rte.111, Kingston, at the Powwow Pond Council, Inc.’s annual meeting.

Tom will address various options for lake management and control of invasive species with non-chemical or non-invasive mechanical means. Tom will also speak about New Hampshire Lakes Association’s mission is how they work with pond and lake associations to improve stewardship and advocating for legislative changes. A question and answer period will follow the presentation.

Following Tom’s presentation, there will be a general meeting of the Council. A great deal of work has been done since the general meeting last year so we have a lot to report to the members. In addition, an election of officers to the Board of Directors will be held. New volunteers are welcome and anyone interested in serving on the Board of Directors is invited to announce their candidacy at the meeting.

The public is encouraged and welcome to attend this very important and informative talk. Refreshments will be served.
