PLAISTOW —Old Home Day continues to be a great tradition in the Town of Plaistow. The Plaistow Lions Club enjoys supporting this great town-wide event. This year the Plaistow Lions Club will be quite busy throughout the day - Sat., June 29. Events include the 33rd annual Old Home Day 5K at 9:00 a.m., $2.00 sausages with peppers and onions, and the Parade at 2:00 p.m. This year the Lions will draw the raffle winner of the Harley Davidson raffle at 12:00 p.m., so if you bought a ticket please come down.
If you are interested in running or walking in the road race you can register online at http://www.running4free.com/RaceDetails.aspx?raceid=93. The first 250 registered runners will receive a technical running shirt. All proceeds from the road race will go to The One Fund Boston.
The Town of Plaistow puts on a great family day, so come down and enjoy. There will be a Ham and Bean Dinner, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Plaistow First Baptist Church. Then going out with a bang with fireworks at PARC at 9:00 p.m.
