PLAISTOW —Sunday morning worship at First Baptist Church, 122 Main Street, Plaistow is held at 9:30 a.m. during the summer months. Pastor Aaron Goodro will be preaching and special music will be provided by the Church’s many talented musicians. Nursery care and a one-room Sunday School class is available. Carla Carney, CAGO, is the Church Organist and Nancy McCormack is the pianist. Refreshments are served in Colcord Hall after the worship service and all are welcome to come and enjoy the delicious food and warm fellowship.
The Church’s Ice Cream Socials will begin on Wed., June 26, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. These popular Socials are held every Wednesday during the summer months along with the concerts on the Green. A variety of delicious Hodgie’s ice cream flavors are available, as well as a dazzling array of toppings, whipped cream and nuts. Come join in the fun!
A delicious Ham & Bean Supper will be held on Sat., June 29, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in Colcord Hall of the Church. Besides the traditional Ham and beans, salads, rolls, beverages and dessert are included in the meal. This is held on Old Home Day and proceeds will benefit the Billy Bartlett fund to help defray the costs of his recovery from severe burns. Tickets for the supper are $10.00 per adult and $5.00 for children under 10. All are cordially welcome to come and enjoy this delicious meal, as well as helping our neighbor.
Work parties to make crafts for the Village Fair are held on Tuesday mornings from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Refreshments are served and all are welcome to come and enjoy the fellowship and fun.
