---- — DOVER —This summer, theatre.unmasked is launching a brand new training program to accommodate actors on the Seacoast. The Master Class Series is intended to give all participants a valuable experience of their training at a reasonable price.
Part of any actors ongoing professionalism means that they need to be able to identify goals and habits, challenge themselves to go further and most importantly believe that they are worth investing in so that they can continually revitalize their skills. Like any other profession, actors need to keep their instrument tuned, theatre.unmasked believes in the importance of training autonomous actors who can take what they’ve learned and keep developing on their own.
The first Master Class, Act, is an acting intensive focusing on refreshing skills or learning new skills that bring a new sense of ownership and confidence to acting. The voice intensive, Speak, is next, and will help actors own their vocal instrument and learn to use it as a tool for creativity, developing resonance and clarity for the stage. Accessorize, the dialects intensive is for actors who want more tools in their acting kit. This intensive will teach authentic dialects for the stage, giving participants accessible techniques that they can take with them and continue to develop on their own.
Aimee Blesing, who will be teaching the Master Classes, is a Certified Trainer of Lessac Voice and Body work. She graduated from the prestigious Western Academy of Performing Arts conservatory acting program in 2003 and has worked consistently as a professional actor and voice and dialect coach.
