Memory Screening Day

FREMONT — National Memory Screening Day is an annual initiative of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. Qualified health professionals will administer the memory screenings and provide educational materials about memory concerns, brain health and caregiving.

Colonial Poplin Skilled Nursing Facility will hold free, confidential Memory Screenings on Mon., November 18, from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., and Tues., November 19, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at 422 Main Street in Fremont.

The face-to-face screening consists of a brief series of questions and tasks, and takes 5-10 minutes to administer. The screening is not used to diagnose illness, but can indicate whether a follow-up medical exam should be pursued.
