---- — EXETER - Exeter Hospital is hosting the first annual Trick or Treat Trot 3.5 Mile Run/Walk and Creepy Crawler Fun Run on Sun., October 13, to benefit The Beyond the Rainbow Fund at Exeter Hospital.

The 3.5 Mile Run/Walk begins at 9:00 a.m., and is open to all ages and abilities. The Creepy Crawler Fun Run, starting at 10:30 a.m., offers a short non-competitive run for children ages 10 and under. Both races start and finish at the Exeter Hospital campus. The cost for the Run/Walk is $20.00 (pre-registered)/$25.00 (day of event). The Fun Run is $5.00 (pre-registered)/$8.00 (day of event). Entrants can register online through October 10th at or visit to download a registration form. Event day registration is also available from 7:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. for the Run/Walk, and until 10:00 a.m. for the Fun Run. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged as the 3.5 Mile Run/Walk is limited to 350 participants, and the first 250 registrants receive a free t-shirt. Cash and check only are accepted on the day of the event.

This family community event includes prizes donated by local businesses to be awarded to First Place Trot Division winners in the following age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+. The awards ceremony will be held following the Run/Walk, along with post race snacks, face painting and Halloween bags for Fun Run participants. Halloween costumes are encouraged for all participants.

All funds raised by the event will benefit The Beyond the Rainbow Fund which provides financial assistance and support to Exeter Hospital cancer patients in need.
