---- — HAMPSTEAD — The Knights of Columbus Council 9058 in Hampstead will hold two simultaneous drives on Sat., October 19, from 12:00-5:30 p.m.

One drive will be the council’s annual Jackets for Kids Drive. They will be accepting clean, usable children’s jackets for the children of needy families in the local communities. No other clothing will be accepted.

The other drive members of the Knights of Columbus will be accepting gifts of non-perishable food and other items to benefit the greater Manchester homeless veterans housed and supported by Liberty House in Manchester. Ten homeless veterans reside at Liberty House and food is distributed to approximately 300 other homeless veterans.

Critical Items needed are: Jam/Jelly, Canned Fruit, Pasta, Dry Cereal, Cookies, Paper Towels Ramen Noodles, Spam, Beef Stew in a Can, Cranberry and Apple Sauce, Soup in a Can, Bread, Fruit Juice, Macaroni and Cheese in a Box, Tuna in a Can, Beans in a Can, Canned Vegetables, Shampoo, Can Openers (not electric), Disposable Razors, Bath Soap, Toilet Paper, Rice, Ravioli and Spaghetti in a Can, Boots, all sized, new or used, Jeans, all sized, Warm socks for the Winter and Hooded Sweatshirts

Both collections will take place downstairs in the Church Hall of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, located at 26 Emerson Avenue in Hampstead.
