---- — BRENTWOOD —The University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension is offering a “Record Keeping with QuickBooks for Farmers and Natural Resources Businesses” workshop series. The four-week workshop series will take place on March 18, 20, 25 and 27, from 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the offices of UNH Cooperative Extension in Rockingham County, 13 North Road, Brentwood.
Participants must have laptop computers with QuickBooks. Participants will set up QuickBooks for their farm or natural resource operations and the workshop series will be led through the process by Carol Starkie, Farm Credit Easts and UNH Extension staff. The course is open to all levels. Participants will improve how to set up this electronic record keeping system, add information in a systematic manner so that they can assess their farm and natural resource enterprises, increase their understanding about relevant taxation issues, and be able to create valuable reports. Participants will learn how to record bills they owe and transactions that are owed to them and be able to keep track of the minute details of their farm or related business operations while also gaining an overall look at how their business is doing.
The workshop is limited to twenty participants with eleven participants minimum to run the series. The registration fee is $400.00 per person. Pre-registration is required. Registration is open bit.ly/1eQBQ3I.
