Photo Exhibit/Sale

---- —

EXETER —The New Hampshire Society of Photographic Artists (NHSPA) is currently holding its 14th annual Member Exhibit and Sale at the Town Hall Gallery, located in the upper level of the Exeter Town Hall. The exhibit will run until February 2 (Sat. and Sun. only 12:00-4:00 p.m.).

Fine Art Photographers from around the state have combined their styles and techniques to create a unique representation of old as well as new methods in the field. Black and white silver gelatin prints, conventional color prints, Polaroid Transfers, historically inspired hand-made contact prints, as well as “state of the art” digital images printed on archival papers are among the photographic styles traditionally exhibited.

Gallery talk schedule: January 19: David Olken: Disposable Art - how to make high quality hand-made photo art cards; January 20: Joe Pepin: Dream Retirement - the Adventures of Ranger Joe; January 26: Peter Randall: Making Movies with your DSLR; January 27: Udo Rauter: Sand Hill Cranes; February 2: David Speltz: Photographing Papua, New Guinea, and the Eclipse of 2012. All talks are free, start at 12:30 p.m., and last about 45 minutes.

The NHSPA is a statewide organization of Fine Art Photographers dedicated to the support of contemporary photography as a means of creative expression and cultural insight. The NHSPA focuses on the education and artistic development of its members and the community by providing exhibitions, publications and educational outreach programs.

The gallery is handicap accessible via an elevator inside the rear door, adjacent to the upper parking lot.
