---- — EAST KINGSTON —Post-holiday blues? The Fiends of East Kingston Public Library will sponsor their annual Family Winter Fest to get you back into the swing of things on Sun., January 26, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the East Kingston Library, 47 Maplevale Road, East Kingston. Don’t miss this special afternoon of winter activities and live music.

Ellen Carlson and Jim Prendergast will present an array of styles in an upbeat program of fiddling music. Performing on fiddle for over thirty-five years, Ellen has studied numerous styles, such as bluegrass, Irish, old-time, country, swing, Canadian and others. She is also the leader of the NH Fiddle Ensemble. Jim, an accomplished guitarist and mandolin player, is a Nashville transplant who has recorded with some of the best musicians in the city.

Kids activities will include crafts, face painting and hay rides. Bring a hat, scarf, items for face, etc. to create your amazing snow man for the snow man competition (weather permitting!). Toast some marshmallows on the fire pit and warm up with a cup of hot chocolate or hot cider.

The event is free and everyone is welcome! Help make this second annual event another huge success! Sponsored by The Friends of the East Kingston Public Library.
