FREMONT - The Town of Fremont will be celebrating its 250th Anniversary in 2014, and in honor of this milestone event the 250th Anniversary Committee is sponsoring a special Fremont 250th Anniversary Commemorative Souvenir Program Booklet that will include many fascinating articles on the colorful people, places, and events that have shaped our historic town since it was incorporated as the Town of Poplin on June 22, 1764.
The name of the town was changed to Fremont ninety years later in 1854 in honor of John Charles Fremont - the Great American Western Explorer and Presidential Candidate.
This is your chance to memorialize your business, organization, family, or departed loved one in this special 52 page souvenir booklet. Space is selling very fast.
Anyone wishing to place an ad in this Commemorative Souvenir Program Booklet can do so by calling Carolyn Carr at 895-4095 for ad prices and ad sizes. Proceeds go to help fund Fremont’s upcoming 250th Anniversary Celebration in June.
For more general information about Celebration events please call 250th Chairman Matthew Thomas at 895-4032.
