'True Tales Radio'

PORTSMOUTH - Portsmouth Community Radio, WSCA-LP 106.1FM, is adding a new monthly show to their line-up beginning this January. “True Tales Radio” begins on Tues., January 28, at 6:30 p.m., and will continue every last Tuesday of the month as part of John Lovering’s long-time show, “Audio Theatre”.

Broadcast live and before a small in-studio audience, local people will have the opportunity to step up to the microphone and tell a true story. Each month there will be a different theme. For the first show on January 28, the theme is “Beginnings.” Beginning a new relationship…Beginning a new business in Portsmouth… Birth of a Child…etc.

Host John Lovering explains, “Anyone wishing to be a part of “True Tales Radio” simply needs be willing to share a true story with our listening audience. The story can run the gamut from being hilarious to a real tear-jerker and anything in between. The most important thing is that it be a true story and not a speech or a stand-up comedy routine. Everyone has stories to tell. We want to give the seacoast community the opportunity to share their stories in this unique and exciting way.”

Anyone interested in sharing a story on the January 28th premiere of “True Tales Radio” should send an email to truetales@wscafm.org, call 603-842-4574, or send a letter to Portsmouth Community Radio, 909 Islington St. Suite 1, Portsmouth, NH 03801-4390 – Attention: True Tales Radio, no later than Fri., January 17, 2014.
