---- — HAMPSTEAD —Mark your calendar! St. Anne Church will hold its 21st annual Lakes Race on Sat., July 27 at 26 Emerson Avenue in Hampstead. This is a five-mile race on a USATF certified course.

Check-in and same-day registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and both the race and the 5K non-competitive Fun-Walk will begin at 9:00 a.m. Trophies will be presented to the top three runners from each age and sex division: 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. There will also be refreshments after the race. If you’ve never joined before, be sure to do so this year!

Pre-registration is $25.00 and includes a Table Talk Pie and official race t-shirt. Registration within one week of the race is $30.00 with no guarantee of pie or shirt. You may also register for the ever-popular “I don’t want to race, I don’t want to walk; I just want a pie and a t-shirt” category! The Lakes Race is just one part of an action-packed day at the 32nd annual St. Anne Summerfest, which includes games for all ages, free live entertainment on stage, bounce tents, face painting, a craft and art fair, beautiful gift baskets, a bake sale, a baking competition, grill fare and refreshments, a silent auction, and cash and gift raffles. Free admission to the Summerfest, free parking, and handicap accessible.
