Basic Trail Maintenance

BRENTWOOD – On Thurs., November 1, 7:00 -9:00 p.m.,, the Brentwood Trails Committee is hosting a free talk about what is included in doing basic trail maintenance by Jeremy Burns from the Bear Brook State Park Student Conservation Association. Join us at the Brentwood Community Center #190 RT 125. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

In his role as NH corps Conservation Manager, Jeremy supports the crews during the conservation field season program from training in the spring to crew support in the field throughout the season. Jeremy also supports the SCA Manchester program throughout the school year and summer field season. He grew up in a small farm town in central NY and has worked on trails and with youth and young adults throughout the woods of the northeast. Jeremy has associates degrees in Natural Resource Conservation and Environmental Conservation Law Enforcement and a B.A. in Environmental Planning and Management. His introduction to SCA was serving on a crew in Alaska building trails. Jeremy also has served as an Americorps member while leading trail crews with the Maine Conservation Corps.

This presentation should be of interest to trail maintainers, trail users, young adult students, recreation/conservation land managers, and landowners.

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
