EXETER – Because of the overwhelming response from area community members to the Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce’s planned community trip to China next March, the chamber has decided to extend the sign-up deadline until October 1, 2008.
“Nearly 200 people have already signed-up for this trip of a lifetime,” said Chamber President Thom Kraus. “We’ve decided to extend the deadline to allow even more interested people to join us on this incredible adventure.”
The nine-day, seven-night trip, begins on March 13, 2009, and includes transportation to and from JFK International Airport, International airfare, stays at 4 and 5 star hotels, three meals each day, deluxe bus tours, English speaking tour guides, admission tickets to tourist spots, and airport tax throughout the trip.
Through a special partnership with Chamber member CITSLINC International, INC, this extraordinary experience is available to chamber members, their families and friends, or anyone simply looking for an adventure for the special price of $1899 per person double occupancy. (Single rooms are available for an additional cost.)
Trip Highlights include: Sightseeing in Beijing including the Great Wall of China, Tian An Men Square, Ming Tombs, Palace Museum, Summer Palace, Kunming Lake and Longevitt Hill; Trip to Shanghai and Suzhou, including sightseeing of the Lingering Garden Tiger Hill, Hanshan Temple and the National Embroidery Institute; Tour of the Hanzhou Economic Development Zone and Lingyin temple; Opportunities to meet with other business leaders in China and learn about their economy; and Cruise on the West Lake with a stop over at jewel-like pagodas and tea houses.
According to Kraus, seats for the trip can be reserved with a $200.00 non refundable registration fee sent to the chamber no later than October 1, 2008. The remaining balance of the tour fee is due by November 1, 2008. Securing or updating a passport is the traveler’s responsibility. Passports must be valid through October 2009. In addition, all travelers must have a valid Chinese Visa. The Exeter Area Chamber will handle visa applications at a cost of $150.00 per person, no later than November 1, 2008.
