KINGSTON/NEWTON – Following extensive screening of seventeen applicants with diverse backgrounds, the Sanborn Regional School District’s Superintendent Search Committee interviewed eight highly qualified candidates and recommended three finalists to the Sanborn School Board Committee for further consideration for the position of Superintendent of Schools.
The committee selected candidates for interviews based upon state requirements and the criteria that had been established by district wide Focus Groups from all stakeholders. The three finalists have been invited to visit the Sanborn School District to meet with all stakeholders, and interview with the Sanborn School Board on Wed., May 27.
Interviews will be scheduled for 6:00 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., at the SAU office. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. T
he following candidates will be interviewed: Dr. Brian J. Blake, currently the Superintendent in Hopkinton, (8:30 p.m.); Mr. Donald A. Johnson , currently the Assistant Superintendent in the Conval District (7:15 p.m. ); and Mr. William P. Lander , currently the Superintendent in SAU #64, Union (6:00 p.m.)

There will be opportunity for parents and community members to meet with each candidate prior to the School Board’s interviews. Feedback will be collected from the day’s sessions and given serious consideration in the final decision. The School Board will then make arrangements to visit the candidates’ districts prior to making a final decision to be announced at the June 3rd School Board Meeting.
