Lace-Up for Leukemia

James Brown of Sandown, and his grandfather Jim Stace of Hampstead, participated in the Lace-Up Skate-A-Thon held on April 5, at the Northstar Youth Ice Forum, Westborough, MA. Both James and Jim skated 110 continuous laps each and raised money for this worthy cause. The proceeds of this Skate-A-Thon, established by figure skater Laura Dully in 1984, as a means to raise funds for the continuing research toward a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, myeloma, cancer related diseases, as well as to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
