HAMPSTEAD – There will be a free chair yoga class at the Hampstead Public Library on Tues., October 2, at 3:00 p.m. This monthly class features non-impact exercises that are beneficial for men and women, teens and adults.

Participants move at their own pace, sitting, standing, or using a chair for support. The instructor is Maggie Morgan from the Yoga Room in Hampstead.

MEET THE MOOSEMAN - Moose and nature lovers, the Hampstead Public Library has a program for you! On Thurs., October 11, at 7:00 p.m., Rick Libbey (aka: Mooseman) will come to the library to share his nature travel tales. Libbey is a premier New England photographer of moose wildlife and habits.

Come and learn more about the fantastic moose and be awed by the Libbey’s amazing photos. For preview of Libbey’s work, check out his website, www.moosemannaturephotos.com.

COLORED PENCIL WORKSHOP - On Sat., October 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon, the Hampstead Public Library will host a Colored Pencil Drawing Workshop.

Area artist and teacher Ann Perkins will present the workshop at which she will show how to achieve wonderful art by drawing with colored pencils. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, you are welcome. Those who attended Ann’s workshop at the library in May are welcome to return and continue their artistic efforts.

Please bring your own paper and colored pencils. This workshop is for adults and for children ages 13 and up.

  • Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown, 66

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
