STRATHAM - The Wiggin Memorial Library in Stratham will host “Do-It-Yourself Self-Publishing: Going it Alone as an Indie Author” on Sat., October 26, at 1:00 p.m. Recent changes in the publishing industry have made self-publishing a viable way to publish a book and build a writing career. Ariele Sieling, Zoe Cannon, and Christopher Kellen, all self-published authors, take a closer look at strategies for creating and selling a book that is both a quality product and affordable for the writer. They discuss the right - and the wrong - reasons for choosing to self-publish, tips for preparing a book for publication, how to avoid common pitfalls, and the variety of ways to connect with readers. Designed for writers, readers, and people that like to do things themselves, this event will approach strategies for navigating through the new world of publishing while creating quality and affordable product.
