---- — KINGSTON —Seacoast Science Center will present a fun-filled program about rocks, gems, and geology on Thurs., Oct. 3 at 6:30 p.m., at the library. This program has hands-on activities that will teach children different types of rocks, classifying rocks and how rocks are made. The program is recommended for grades 1-5, each child attending will receive a free admission past to the Seacoast Science Center, as well as a bookmark! Signup is required; call 642-3521.
Join us at the library for two fantastically frightful Halloween events in one: The Halloween Party and Family Movie Night on Fri., Oct. 25, 4:30 p.m. Have your face painted by Kimberly Connell from the Painted Pineta! Trick-or-treat around the library with Book Characters! Make some fun Halloween crafts! Bring some food, take some food at the Potluck Dinner! All followed by a screening of ParaNorman, rated PG, to start at 5:30 p.m. Parents are encouraged to bring a spooky potluck dish for dinner. Ages 6-12 are invited to join Master Kelly from Alpha Tae-Kwon-Do and Fitness for a lesson in self-defense on Sat., October 26 at 12:00 p.m. Children will have a lesson in basic kicking, punching, stances, and self-defense. Master Kelly and five of her students will demonstrate these techniques and all participants will have a go at breaking a board! Bring a water bottle and wear loose clothes.
