---- — NEWTON — Come join us for a fun-filled time of Amazing Mad Science, lots of laughs and action! The Gale Library has been awarded a NH Kids, Books and Arts Grant to kick off our Summer Reading Program “Dig Into Reading” with a performance from Mad Science this June 26, 6:30 p.m., at the Newton Town Hall.

“Dig Into Science!” is a 45-minute, fun-filled, science performance, designed to get kids of all ages excited about the science that happens underneath the ground! From the layers of the earth to the critters that live in the soil to natural phenomena that occur underground, kids will discover some amazing things as we dig deeper! The science of “digging deep” is presented with topics such as earth’s layers, stalactites and stalagmites, soggy soil, underground creatures, tectonic plates and earthquakes, and volcanoes.

The program is brought to you by the Gale Library and supported by a grant from the US Institute of Museum and Library Services and donations from the Byrne Foundation, Chilis, the Cogswell Benevolent Trust, the NH Library Association, and the NH State Library.
