---- — EAST KINGSTON —If you are a patron at the East Kingston Public Library, you may have received an email from the library administrator, Lola. ( I regretfully admit that I received one of these messages, too.) Recently, staff attended a workshop on our library circulation system and discovered many new ideas and tips. We were also able to present suggestions and requests. Some libraries in the state had already implemented this automatic reminder system for overdue items. We thought we would try it also. Our main focus is to keep the newest books in circulation and to honor reserve requests so everyone gets a chance to read their favorites. If you get a notice, call us. In most cases, we will be happy to renew your book or DVD. We can also advise you if another patron is waiting on the reserve list.
At the conference, we also got the opportunity to add some great services to our catalog. Watch for information on our website about new data base options and upgrades to the card catalog.
Check it out at the East Kingston Public Library and remember Lola is a very friendly computer.
