PLAISTOW — The library will be closed for Memorial Day on Mon., May 27.

We would like to welcome Cara Marsh to the library as Youth Services Assistant. Miss Cara has worked as a school library media specialist for grades K-8 for the last four years. She has a Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology with a focus in School Library Media. She is currently pursuing a Master of Library Science degree online. She is excited to apply her experiences and her masters in a public library setting. Come by the library Tuesday and Thursday evenings to meet Miss Cara and introduce yourself!

Attention teen writers, ages 13-19: Bring a 10-30 page work of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, or collection of genres to the library by July 15, for a chance to win a $50.00 gift card and be interviewed by local authors Berry and Croft on their show Scrybes. No entry fee. Submissions must arrive or be postmarked before July 15. Material must be original. Please visit www.berryandcroft.com for more submission requirements and specifications.

Don’t forget about Tech Talks, offered by our tech-savvy librarians on Mondays at noon and 6:30 p.m. Do you have a new eReader you need help figuring out? Or do you want to learn how to save your reading history or make a list of books you want to read, on our library catalog Koha? Ask a librarian for instruction during Tech Talks.

Bridge has been added to Cribbage on Wednesdays, 2:00-4:00 p.m.—come to the library to sharpen your skills and socialize! Snacks and drinks provided by Plaistow Recreation and the library.

Join us for LEGO/WII Fridays to build with our large LEGOs collection or challenge yourself to a game of Wii. Preschool children meet 1:00-2:30 p.m., School-aged children 3:00-4:30 p.m.
