---- — KINGSTON — The unofficial start to summer is upon us and so is our summer program listing. Swing by the library to pick up brochures for our children, teen, and adult summer reading programs!
In addition to special programming we offer ongoing regular program events:
BOOK GROUP: Love to read? Get excited about books? Or, wish you loved to read and get excited about books? Either way the Kingston Community Library Book Club is the place for you- we will share your love of books or get you excited about books! Fun, laid, back, no pressure. And we have food! We meet the first Monday of the month at 6:45 p.m.
OPEN MEDITATION SIT: Relax with Open Meditation Sit, led by Kiranada Benjamin. Many of us know the benefits of mediation and the encouraging power of meditating together in a small group. This time will be available to all who have some meditation experience and would like to “drop-in” to sit together on a regular weekly basis on Wednesday mornings from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
WALK INTO SUMMER: All ages and levels are invited to “Walk Into Summer” on Mondays and Wednesdays, from June 3-26 at 8:30 a.m. We will be walking with Leslie Sansone. The first week we will be following her DVD-1 Mile Get Up & Get Started (18 minutes) and week two will include the above as well as a warm up and her second DVD-2 Mile Brisk Walk (30 minutes). You set your own pace and decide how long you want to walk. Plus we will be inside an air-conditioned room!
MOVIE NIGHT: This month, we are watching “Rise of the Guardian”, rated PG on May 24 at 5:30 p.m. Taking time to have a regular family night is a great way to create lasting memories. Please bring a potluck snack to share! Popcorn will be provided!
