---- — KINGSTON —Join us at the Kingston Community Library for a film viewing and discussion of Islamic Art: Mirror of the Invisible World on Thurs., January 23 at 2:00 p.m. Professors Jonathan Bloom and Sheila Blair of Virginia Commonwealth University will lead this film discussion touching on themes such as Word, Space, Ornament, Color and Water, as well as the stories behind many great masterworks of Islamic Art and Architecture.

Join the NH Audubon Society to learn about a cross section of our native amphibians in their program ‘Fabulous Frogs’ on Wed., January 29 at 6:00 p.m. Discover which frog species live in New Hampshire and learn about their anatomy, life cycle, and listen to their calls. Then, take a close up look at several native frogs and try to guess who’s who! A great experience for children in grades Pre-K to 8! Signup is required.

Taking time to have a regular family night is a great way to create lasting memories. Join us in the library meeting room for screenings of newly released DVDs! Please bring a potluck snack to share! Popcorn will be provided! This month, we will watch “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2”, rated PG on Fri., January 31 at 5:30 p.m.

Start a reading tradition with your daughter with a Mother-Daughter Book Club! For Girls (grades 4-8) and their Mothers. Based on the popular Mother-Daughter Book Club novels by Heather Vogel Fredrick. The next meeting on Tues., February 11 at 6:00 p.m. will be to discuss “Chained” by Lynne Kelly. Miss Sue will serve snacks and refreshments, and book-talk a few titles for the April meeting. Books for the March Meeting will be available for pickup.

Ages 3 and up are invited to join Miss Sue for an afternoon of Valentine’s Day stories, tea (or juice), and music on Fri., February 14 at 11:00 a.m.

Story time fun continues! Book Babies, a story time for children ages 0-36 months meets every Monday at 10:30 a.m. Preschool Story Time is on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. for children ages 3 to 5. Check the children’s web page for updates or schedule changes.
