ATKINSON — Take a look at the two giant ‘Froggy’ characters hanging on the wall entering the children’s craft area to be inspired while you register. An all new ‘Here’s Froggy’ event is just around the corner. Froggy books are written by Jonathon London and his humor appeals to a variety of readers. Join Froggy and us on Sat., May 4, from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. for ‘Here’s Froggy!’ as we read Froggy stories and do special Froggy activities. This event is perfect for K-grades 3. Please register online or give us a call to join in the fun.

As you go through your spring cleaning, do you ever wonder if what you have in your hand is worth anything more than the dust it is collecting? Join us on Tues., May 14, from 6:30-8:00 p.m., for ‘Antiques vs. Collectibles’. Presenter Ron Wackowski, Certified Appraiser & Licensed Auctioneer and owner of The Queen’s Falcon, Lawrence, MA, will discuss the difference between antiques and collectibles. Attendees are welcome to bring a small item of interest with them. Ron will discuss the items as part of the overall discussion. You may have an undiscovered valuable treasure on your hands, and this may be the night you find out! This event is sponsored by the generous ‘Friends of the Library’. Refreshments will be served.

Have you been missing ‘Hawke, the Reader Dog’? She was unable to be with us in April because she was having a small surgical procedure, and we are happy that she is well and raring to have kids read to her again. We need you to come read to Lady Hawke! Please come, bring your favorite book, or borrow one of ours, and spend some time reading to our friend Hawke. Register now for your emerging reader or child who just likes books and dogs to read on Wed., May 15, from 4:00-5:00 p.m. If no one registers, she will not come.
